My now years long quest to find someplace that can cut glass horizontally so I can replace these continues today. I'm heading out to a run-down little place near Main and King Edward that I found from a referral from a referral from a referral. The shop has some strong dystopian, Blade Runner "I only make eyes" vibes. The person I spoke on the phone to answered my detailed questions with simply, "Yes. Bring in your prescription and we will make them." I'm slightly hopeful and mostly thinking I was misunderstood and psyching up for another disappointment. I've actually gotten to the point in this pursuit were I have looked into buying my own lens shaping and cutting equipment because in this world of dividend driven consolidated crapitalism, mass mediocrity is the only option and no one can make anything out of the ordinary.
