Just had a flashback to sitting in a horrible 1970s dark brown study carrel in a windowless concrete basement insufficiently lit by ancient, 1960s-type, flickery, humming, green-tinted florescent lights, coding some intensely boring assignment in Pascal on one of these back at U-Vic in 1985.

A spectacular phonetic spelling of "Michael"

I've finally learned enough to make a proper phonetic transliteration of my name into Ukrainian Cyrillic (Майкл Реней Баррік) and I've been practicing writing it. The Cyrillic cursive is tripping me up. The flow is very different to Latin script.
